The trio formed by Rehael Martins, Eric Santana and Jorge Bahls started work in early 2018, when they were respectively 15, 16 and 18 years old. In the same year, they recorded the album Poluição Sonora, totally live inside a farm shed, and with the entire process recorded in the documentary "Depois da Tempestade". After more than 50 performances at festivals and concert halls across the country and a visual EP released at the height of the pandemic, the band makes an impact with its newest and most powerful album: Alvorada.
“This record comes with a totally different feel to the first one. We brought a much more worked and sober sound. The vibe of the album is a thing of youth, of overcoming, of the courage to open your eyes to move on. Our goal is to bring light to people, hence the name Alvorada”, shares Eric Santana, the band's drummer.
There are 10 tracks filled with elements that naturally arouse curiosity about who they are and how Hoovaranas think about music, as soon as the connection and synesthesia between the members becomes audible, who surprise by the technique and also by the emotion with which they express themselves, individually and collectively. . Without a single word spoken during the 43 minutes, his instrumentals have the power to talk about hope, power and the energy needed to face the daily Brazilian chaos, all with style and vivacity:
“The whole idea of ​​freedom, strength and psychedelia is in the songs somehow, even if they are instrumental, every detail was thought to convey some feeling”, reveals Rehael, guitarist of the record.
Despite being young, the experience gained by the trio is reflected in the unpredictable Coragem, a single from the album released by the trio on February 2nd, which also has a video clip, showing the potential that is being realized: hoovaranas was built, reinvented itself and now reaches its apex. Between peaks of sweetness, calm and unmeasured explosions, colored with reverbs, delays and calculated echoes that sound organic, the carefully constructed harmonies were created to hypnotize and immerse the listener in scenarios that transmute through colors and shapes; the particular Hoovaranian dimension, a painting done with black lights and lots of neon, as a new day prepares to dawn.
